Rob Kapito is President and a Director of BlackRock, a member of BlackRock’s Global Executive Committee and Chairman of the Global Operating Committee. He is responsible for day-to-day oversight of all BlackRock’s key operating units including Investment Strategies, Client Businesses, Technology & Operations, and Risk & Quantitative Analysis. Mr. Kapito is also a Director of iShares Inc.
Prior to assuming his current responsibilities in 2007, Mr. Kapito served as Head of BlackRock’s Portfolio Management Group. Scott Bessent serves as Chief Executive Officer and Chief Investment Officer for Key Square Capital Management, a New York-based investment partnership that he founded in 2015. Mr. Bessent was Chief Investment Officer for Soros Fund Management (SFM), the investment vehicle for the Soros Family and their foundations, from 2011 to 2015. He has been a well-known investor in the macro space for more than two decades.

Professor Alex Brown is the Professor of Indigenous Genomics at The Kids Research Institute Australia and The Australian National University. Misty Jenkins is a NHMRC fellow and laboratory head in the Immunology Division at Walter and Eliza Hall Institute for Medical Research. Misty leads the immunotherapy program within the Brain Cancer Centre and is dedicated to discovering novel immunotherapy targets for high grade gliomas in adults and children. Her research focusses on the development of novel chimeric antigen receptor T cells for brain cancer. Her group also uses cutting edge two-photon microscopy combined with mouse models of brain cancer to investigate the tumour microenvironment and uncover unique biology of brain tumours.
Misty has a PhD in Immunology from The University of Melbourne, followed by postdoctoral positions at The Universities of Oxford, Cambridge and the Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre.
Prof Jenkins was awarded the L’Oreal for Women in Science Fellowship (2013), was Tall Poppy of the year (2015), was awarded the Top100 Women of Influence award (2016) and was inducted onto the Victorian Honour Roll of Women in 2020.

Dr Anita Ayer completed her Bachelor of Arts (French and Politics) alongside a Bachelor of Advanced Science (Hons Class I), and was awarded the University Medal in Medical Microbiology and Immunology before receiving her PhD in Biochemistry and Molecular Genetics in 2012 from the University of New South Wales. During her PhD under the mentorship of Prof Ian Dawes, Dr Ayer studied the genetic basis of how cells maintained their redox state and the role of antioxidant using microbial model organisms.
In 2013 she joined the Vascular Biology Laboratory at the Victor Chang Cardiac Research Institute and in 2016 was promoted to Senior Post-Doctoral Scientist and is also a conjoint lecturer at the University of New South Wales. At the Victor Chang Cardiac Research Institute Dr Ayer has been using her expertise in redox biology and biochemistry, and genome-wide screening to study the processes that underlie vascular diseases. Dr Ayer’s currently studies the lipid coenzyme Q, and how coenzyme Q levels can be increased in diseases such as heart failure, atherosclerosis and diabetes to treat and or prevent disease.

Chris holds a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of NSW and a Diploma from the Securities Institute of Australia (now the Financial Services Institute of Australasia). He is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia, a Fellow of the Institute of Company Directors and an Associate of the Financial Services Institute of Australasia. In 2007 Chris was inducted into the Australian Fund Manager’s RBS Hall of Fame for services to the investment industry. In 2017 he was appointed as an Officer in the General Division of the Order of Australia.

Professor Daniel MacArthur is the Director of the Centre for Population Genomics (CPG), a joint initiative of the Garvan Institute of Medical Research in Sydney and the Murdoch Children’s Research Institute in Melbourne. The CPG was established to solve the critical scientific, regulatory, and technical problems currently limiting the development of genomic medicine in Australia, and to execute large-scale projects that will establish Australia’s leadership in this field.
Daniel previously served as Co-Director of the Medical and Population Genetics Program at the Broad Institute of MIT and Harvard, and headed up a team jointly based at the Broad Institute, Massachusetts General Hospital, and Harvard Medical School. He co-directed the Broad Institute's Centre for Mendelian Genomics, which has sequenced and analysed genomic data from over 10,000 individuals from rare disease families and contributed to the discovery of more than 100 new rare disease genes. He also led the development of the Genome Aggregation Database (gnomAD), the largest and most widely-used data set of human exome and genome sequence data, which has collated data from over 140,000 sequenced individuals.

Anthony is the Portfolio Manager of Industrial Shares, SHARE-PLUS Long-Short and Co-Portfolio Manager of Perpetual Pure Equity Alpha.
Anthony has been with Perpetual for 10 years. Prior to joining Perpetual, he worked at Ellerston Capital for 6 years, where he was the Portfolio Manager for the Ellerston Capital Global Equity Management Fund for 2 years. Before that, he spent 4 years as an Analyst working on a long/short strategy. Prior to joining Ellerston Capital, Anthony worked as an Analyst at UBS Investment Bank for 8 years.
Anthony has a Bachelor of Economics from the University of Sydney and has earned the right to use the Chartered Financial Analyst designation.
